Central Valley residents protest at TEA partiesTax day has turned into protest day for many people around the country and here in the Central Valley. Thousands who say they're unhappy with government spending are staging rallies modeled after the original Boston Tea Party. In this case, TEA, stands for Taxed Enough Already. At Fresno's Save Mart Center more than 1,000 people gathered in the parking lot. Although organizers said the event was bi-partisan, many in attendance identified themselves as Republicans. In Merced, a rally organized by the College Republicans of UC Merced protested what they believe is outrageous government spending. Participants brought signs, flags and their opinions on the current levels of taxation.
