By KSEE News

Fresno City Council member Henry T. Perea has confirmed to KSEE 24 News reports that he will run for the State Assembly seat currently held by Juan Arambula, and that Arambula plans to endorse him for the job. Arambula terms out next year and his District 31 seat will be up for grabs in the 2010 election. Perea says he plans to make a formal announcement about the run in November.

I voted for Henry and will vote for him again. He is his own person and would not act on others' recommendations before making a decision by and for himself. Take away the people around Ashley and we would only have a spokesperson.

Way too immature!! he needs to act like a civil servant, rather than a master,

Yeah I was at that council meeting and he wasn't sincere in congratulating Ashley. As a matter of fact, he spent the whole time on his labtop acting like he had something more important than the Mayor's Inauguration. Will never vote for him again!

Didn't Arambula support Ashley during the Mayorial run? Perea is too immature (in many ways) to run for this office.

I voted for Mr. Perea when he ran for Mayor but because of his actions after the election, I will never vote for him again.

pout?... he never even acknowledged that he got trounced. Has he ever given a concession speech like he agreed to? Maybe he should try to get a job in the real world before he thinks he can be in gov.

Is he going to pout when he loses that election too?
