Thousands expected at downtown Fresno water rally

Tools

The fight for more water in the Central Valley continues tomorrow in downtown Fresno.

Organizers say they're expecting at least several hundred people to show up for the second "Rally for Water".

Back in April thousands of protestors marched from Mendota to the San Luis Reservoir.

Water shortages on the west side have forced many farmers to fallow fields and lay off workers.

The rally comes just days after U.S. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar visited Fresno to discuss the water issues and potential solutions.

The rally is scheduled to start at noon in front of Fresno City Hall, then a march is planned through the streets of downtown Fresno.
