Medical marijuana dispensaries banned in Madera County

People in Madera County will no longer be able to get medical marijuana legally.

In a 5-0 vote Tuesday afternoon, the Madera Board of Supervisors banned all marijuana dispensaries from the county.

Some residents were upset during the meeting, saying they need pot to treat their illnesses, but the board say the ban is in the best interest of the county.

The board also says the dispensaries are not worth the tax money it would take to regulate them.

Vote these people out and find people who are willing to do their jobs. Prohibition does nothing more than forfeit control, which is the opposite of what officials should be doing.

Why is that my surgeon's and anesthesiologist's at two(2) division 1 university medical centers have all told me directly that if marijuana works, no problem, it's preferable over opiates! Who should I believe, my doc's, or some two-bit beurocrats in a po-dunk town? Sue the clowns, listen to the doctor's and patients.

Cool, the kids get to continue buying their pot, and other drugs from the unregulated, and uncontrolled dealers. Not to mention keeping those "forced" pot rehab for kids classes full and the jails over stuffed. Wake up.
