Fresno County is taking an active step towards recognizing the fight against breast cancer.

The local affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation thanked the supervisors for their special declaration.

Breast cancer survivor Sheriff Margaret Mims and Supervisor Henry Perea sponsored the proclamation.

In honor of the event, each of the supervisors podiums was tied with a pink bow, and KSEE 24's Bra Banner for breast cancer awareness was on display in the chambers.
