The Mendota community continues to mourn after it was announced that 4 year old Alex Mercado's cause of death was drowning. Alex's body was found in a dryer next door at a neighbor's house. The teenage boy who lives there is the only suspect in the case.

Ifeel very bad for what happen,my prayers go to both familys especially to little Alexs. BUT WE HAVE TO REMEMBER WE ARE NO ONE TO JUDGE.They are both SUFFERING,We need to stop and see that and understand both of the familys pain,We are not hurting Raul or his family for judging them we are all just hurting ourselfs. We need to thankful that it wasnt one of our kids that did what Raul did and try to understand that he had a problem and no one took the time to get him the help he needed.

I don't think they are saying this 14 year old was abused. I think they are saying Alex witnessed the 14 year old abusing someone else, and he killed the child because he was a was witnessed to it.

Sending Prayers to both families. I see in another comment that the 14 year old has been molested also, why did he not get help and the person that did it to him be held accountable, just maybe he would not have did the awful things he did to this baby.

My Prayers and heart go out to both boys families.This is horrific,I believe that the person who had molested this 14 yr old should also be held accountable and HE SHOULD GET THE CHAIR! I think that this boy must have been severely abused to make him do what he did. this is not the kind of thing a kid does out of the blue.
