Water Rate Increase for Clovis

Tools

By KSEE News

Clovis residents will soon be digging deeper to pay for their water bill.
The City Council voted 5-0 Monday night to raise rates by at least 55% over the next two years.
Clovis hasn't raised water rates since 1991. Since then, the city's population has nearly doubled. Combined with the decrease in new construction revenues, the city has been put in a financial corner.
The water fees will see their first increase on January 1st.
