Another medical emergency has kept a suspected child molester away from court.
81 year old Harry Baker missed another arraignment in a Fresno County Court today.
His attorney says the former Madera County Supervisors was taken to the hospital this morning on advice of his doctor.
Baker has been suffering from bronchitis and Pneumonia, causing him to miss his third scheduled court appearance.
He’s accused of molesting a 13 year old girl in a Fresno hotel room 2 years ago.
His attorney says baker was set up by blackmailers.

As someone who works in the justice system, I know it is not uncommon for hearings to be continued time and time again. I believe he needs to be held to answer, but he is getting the same treatment as any other defendant.

How can you not make him appear in court? Just because he has money I guess he can get away with anything. If this was an average citizen an arrest warrant would be issued..! This guy needs to be in JAIL..!

He needs to go to jail for violating a court order. He is a child molestor and should be treated as such. The only place he is sick is in his ugly old head. I dont care if he has to go to jail with a nurse by his side he needs to be in jail. You dont set someone up for child molesting. He did it, they have it on film. No one made him touch a child. And you KNOW he has done this many times befor, probably in his own family. PERV.

Dear Judge, It is time for this gentlemen to spend time in jail. In Fresno County jail, they have medical floor where they can held him in there. Whenever you need him for court, your deputy will call the floor and they will send him to you. Even he has to go to hospital, they will send a deputy with him.
