Fresno City Council voted to approve the implementation of metered water rates for Fresno residents. The meters will be installed beginning in January 2010. Public Utilities officials say if your water usage is at a constant pace, you won't see much difference, but that you will see a seasonal fluctuation. The city gave the public one last opportunity to protest the metered rates.

When we had a house in Tulare, they had meters for the Summer and flat for the Winter. That was because they were greedy. That's not what's going to happen now, it is? Meter for when you need water and flat for when you don't?
