The body of a fallen soldier from Merced returned home from Iraq Friday.
Servicemen carried the casket that held the body of Private First-Class Lukas Hopper.
Hopper was killed in Iraq when his vehicle rolled over last week.
The 20 year old had been in Iraq for more than a year, and was just nine days away from coming home before the accident.
A public viewing will be held at Stratford Evans Funeral Home in Merced from 4 to 7 Friday night, and from 8am to 10am Saturday morning.
A funeral will follow Saturday's viewing.
Hopper will be buried at Cathy's Valley Cemetery.
