The Two Cities Marathon completed its second running on Sunday with thousands of participants and volunteers taking part.

The Eye-Q Two Cities Marathon was a stunning success over the weekend. Five-thousand walkers and runners took part in the full marathon, half marathon and relay, which ran from Woodward Park in northeast Fresno to Clovis and back.

25-year old Jesus Campos of Fresno crossed the finish line first, running the 26.2 miles in 2 hours 28 minutes. The fastest woman was 39-year old Lori Buratto of Spokane Valley, Washington at 3 hours 5 minutes.

Seven KSEE staffers took part in the race. Five of us did the relay, and we had two half-marathoners. Everyone finished!

Money raised at the event goes to several valley charities including Terry's House at Community Regional Medical Center, Hinds Hospice and Make-A-Wish.
