Salvation Army Sees Increase

The Salvation Army is seeing an increase of needy families, and expects to hand out double the amount of food this year than last.
Salvation Army officials say they high unemployment rate, and the drought have caused people to seek help.
Many of them found their way to it’s downtown Fresno location.
Around 8 this morning, the line stretched around the corner of Fulton and Van Ness.
The Salvation Army hands out a limited amount of food, and even assists with utility bills, and rent all in an effort to keep struggling families from becoming homeless.
