The Fresno County Sheriff’s Department says the suspect in a deadly stabbing in San Joaquin has been captured.
Carlos Rodriguez was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Ensenada Mexico.
Rodriguez is wanted in connection with the stabbing death of 22 yar old Rodrigo Ruvelcava.
Witnesses say Ruvelcava was standing outside of the Los Amigos Market Monday, when he was fatally stabbed by Rodriguez.
The Sheriff’s Department says Rodriguez was arrested on a weapons charge.
At the time of the arrest, he was driving a red Chevy pick up truck matching the description of a truck seen fleeing Monday’s stabbing, and a robbery on the I5 and Panoche Road.
Sheriff’s Detectives are now working with the DA’s office to have Rodriguez extradited back to Fresno County.
