Hunger in the Central Valley has been described as an epidemic. The recession, furloughs and the westside water crisis is taxing the Community Food Bank into being a 12 month operation. 30 Million tons of food are being served a year now in Fresno County, that's the size of San Francisco's food bank. In this Central Valley Focus, Jon Brent goes one on one with Community Food Bank president Dana Wilkie. The single most important thing we can do to help is to volunteer and donate just 1 dollar.

The Community Food Bank and it's partners feed 90 thousand meals each week, that's the size of Clovis. Call 237 food...237 3663 To volunteer or contribute funds. Remember, 1 dollar can be turned into 8 dollars by the food bank.
