A group of homeless people living along the Saint John’s River in Visalia have been ordered to leave.
The Tulare County Sheriff’s Department served a final notice at 7am.
Authorities say the area is private property, and the owners have made complaints.
The homeless were given 2 hours to pack up and leave the property.
Many placed their belongings in cars and drove off while others walked away with boxes and shopping carts.
The Sheriff’s Department says any property left behind can be claimed at its headquarters.
