Hours later, Garay her two friends, and three others were killed in a terrible accident. Now many are asking, who gave this teenager alcohol?

Gov Vetoes Farm Worker Overtime Bill

The Sacramento Bee is reporting that Governor Schwarzenegger has vetoed the farm worker overtime bill. He says that it would "result in additional burdens on California businesses, increased unemployment, and lower wages."

Grassroots Campaign for Higher Education Funding

State Assembly Majority Leader Alberto Torrico (D-Fremont) spent Wednesday afternoon with Fresno State University students. He is encouraging them to support his proposed legislation AB 656 that could ensure an estimated $1 billion a year for higher education. The bill provides for a 10% tax on oil and natural gas extracted in California.
