Planning Commission Delays Vote on Historic Business

Van Ness Auto Repair, the oldest gas station in California, can continue breathing for at least another couple of weeks. The City of Fresno's planning commission was expected to make a vote that would decide the future of the business, but after lengthy testimony from attorneys from both Van Ness Auto and the City, that decision could be made December 2nd. The public hearing played out more like a trial, with supporters for the historic auto shop crowding into the meeting.

Someone should look into who has what to gain by closing this small business that has a simbiotic relationship in the Neighborhood. This makes no sense of any kind
