New Moon Mania Hits The Valley

Moviegoers are feeling "New Moon" mania in the valley!

People were lined up for hours Thursday at the Sierra Vista Mall in Clovis and the Edwards Theater in North Fresno.

"New Moon" is the sequel from the popular vampire novels by Stephenie Meyer.

Thursday night at Edwards, all eight midnight showings were sold out, as well as one 3:00 a.m. showing.

Signature Theatre at Manchester Mall sold out four of its five midnight showings.

"New Moon" opens in theaters nationwide Friday.

What did you expect? A bunch of teenage girls who waited in the cold for hours to see a highly anticipated movie...you think they would sit and be quiet for that amount of time. I went and I got nothing less than what I would expect from such a crowd. Next time, be a little more realistic before venturing out into this type of scenario.

I ment to say we were stuck for 2 1/2 hours in the theater before it started. I told my girls never again will we go to a midnight movie. at least in fresno.

I took my two daughters to see the movie. I couldn't believe how rude and loud people were through the movie. I understand people were excited about it my 14 year was too. We missed parts of the movie cause people were scraming and talking. And sitting in side the theater for 2 1/2 hours packed in with these people was to much. my daughters wanted to leave and see it another time and edwards told use they would refund our money.
