Murder Suspect Appears in Kings County Court

An unusual scene in a Kings County Courtroom, as a man charged with killing his father appears before a judge.
28 year old Nathaniel Caetano was scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon.
Authorities believe he burned his father’s home and decapitated the body.
The remains have not yet been positively identified
In court today, Caetano was wearing a net over his entire head, a surgical looking mask over his mouth, and a thick quilted garment.
Guards held him with rubber gloves in court.
Caetano stared at the ground, and would not answer any of the judge’s questions.
The judge assigned Caetano a public defender, and continued the arraignment to Monday, so psychiatric professionals can evaluate him.
