Fresno County Supervisor Henry Parea says, he’s excited about the county’s chances of landing a high speed rail maintenance facility.
Some 1500 to 2000 jobs are expected to be created for the project.
Parea will lead the Fresno County Team to Sacramento Thursday for the high speed rail commission meeting where they’ll announce the addition of H.L.K. the firm that aided in the construction of Chukchansi Park.
Fresno is in competition for the high speed rail maintenance facility with Madera, Bakersfield, and Merced.
