Sen. Denham Pulls Out of Lt. Gov. Race

A North Valley senator is taking a new direction in politics after announcing he’s dropping out of the race for Lieutenant Governor.

Senator Jeff Denham will now run for the State Assembly.

Denham, a republican who currently represents the Atwater area met in the past two days with Governor and other republican leaders before announcing his decision to run for the 25th assembly district seat.

To do that, he will have to move from Merced County, to Stanislaus County.
