Fresno County’s November unemployment numbers are in and they confirm the worst.
Last month’s unemployment rate for Fresno was 16.5%, nearly a full percent increase from October’s jobless rate.
The farming industry was once again hit hard, losing 5,500 jobs in one month’s time.
The only sector in Fresno County to increase it’s work force was trade, transportation and utility companies.
Fresno’s unemployment rate is more than 4% higher than the rest of California’s, and almost 7% higher than the national rate.
