83 year old Veramae Phillip turned herself in on Thursday after authorities issued a warrant for her arrest and charged her with felony counts of leaving the scene of a fatal traffic crash and failure to report a fatal traffic crash.

A tip from an auto body shop helped police locate and charge an 83-year-old Illinois woman with a hit-and-run crash that killed a 6-year-old boy in McHenry County last weekend.

Veramae C. Phillip, 83, of Woodstock, turned herself in on Thursday after authorities issued a warrant for her arrest and charged her with felony counts of leaving the scene of a fatal traffic crash and failure to report a fatal traffic crash.
