County Narrows Sheriff's Budget, Safety Still a Concern

Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims is not happy with the budget that was agreed upon, but she respects the board's decision. She will now focus budget cuts on areas other than layoffs and inmate releases, but says this could impact response times for service calls. Correctional officers are now looking into whether or not they will follow the lead of deputy sheriffs and approve $1million in concessions to save even more jobs.
