Real Heroes Event Coming Up

Tools

By KSEE News

The American Red Cross Real Heroes event is on Friday, March 19th at the Fresno Art Museum. KSEE 24 is a proud sponsor of the event. It honors heroes in our community in several different categories, including an animal category. KSEE 24's Pamela Prado was live at the Fresno Art Museum Monday morning. "Reno" from the Fresno County Sheriff's Department is being honored. He's the K-9 who was injured in an officer involved shooting in July 2009. His handler, Sgt. John Reynolds, spoke with Pamela about the honor.
Funds raised at the event go to the American Red Cross Central Valley Region and will be used locally, mostly with disaster assistance. This year's Real Heroes event is a little different than in years past. It's an evening event and guests will mingle with the heroes and hear their stories. Tickets are $45 per person.
