O.J. Simpson went back to his Florida home Thursday after making bail from a Las Vegas jail. Outside of his home, NBC's Kerry Sanders caught up with Simpson's girlfriend, Christie Prody.
"He's back in Florida. Everything is fine, it's a big mess. I've known the man for 12 years and there would be no reason for him to kidnap or try to rob things that Mike Gilbert has been stealing from him for the last ten years. So it's a big misunderstanding but I gotta go to work. Okay, thank you," Prody said.
The man Prody is referring to is Mike Gilbert, Simpson's former agent and a Central Valley resident.
Gilbert spoke exclusively with KSEE 24 News this week after an audio tape of the alleged armed robbery surfaced.
"I've got some of his stuff, you bet. He'll never see it. He'll never get it back. The items I have were given to me or he told me to remove them from his house. Nothing was taken without permission," Gilbert told KSEE 24 reporter Catherine Mylinh Monday evening.
Simpson could be back in a Las Vegas court next month. The judge has set October 22 as his next hearing date.
