Plenty of sunshine and practically no wind will make it just a little bit above normal for the remainder of the week. For most valley spots, that will be very close to 100 degrees. Fresno will likely touch or break 100 every day until the weekend. Since it's the end of July and the beginning of August, I won't call this a heat wave. It's just barely above normal this week.
