Rain returns tonight and lingers into Friday. Many valley spots may see as much as 1/4" of rain. Snow levels as low as 3500 feet for the Sierra Nevada, but 4000 feet over the Kern County Mountains. That's just barely low enough to affect travel over the Grapevine. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the Tulare and Kern County Mountains. This weekend, clearing and warming.
