The victims are all family members.

The deceased are 8 year old Alyssa Celaya... 60 year old Irene Celaya... 61 year old Francisco Moreno... and Bernard Franco, age 53.

6 year old Andrew Celaya, and 5 year old Linea Celaya, are in the hospital being treated for gunshot wounds...

It was a tragic chain of events.

It all ended in a shoot out near Lindsay Sunday morning.

Investigators say Hector Celaya shot 6 people.

Killed 3 of them and wounded 3 others before deputies could stop him.

The first shots were fired near this home.

In the hills just east of Porterville on the Tule Indian Reservation.

Deputies say Celaya killed 3 people here, 2 in a trailer and one in a shed.

Family members didn't want to speak on camera...

But they say one of those victim's was Celaya's mom.

They say he also shot his son before leaving with his 2 daughters in a Jeep Cherokee.

Sgt. Chris Douglass says detectives caught up with him hours later and tried to pull him over.

"The person failed to stop and continued to drive around at strange speeds, anywhere from 15 to 25 mph."

The chase ended at Ave. 256 near Road 216.

That's when deputies say more shots were fired.

"We attempted to get him out of the vehicle...Shots were fired inside the vehicle...Not necessarily at our deputies so deputies did shoot their firearms at the suspect and the suspect was struck."

Celaya died at the hospital.

Family members have nothing but questions...

They say Celaya was quiet, jobless and struggling.

But they can't believe it all ended this way.

The Tulare Sheriff's deputies who shot at Celaya are now on administrative leave.
