Arrest Made in Beating of Electrical Worker Dispatched to Help With Sandy Cleanup

A Long Island man was arrested for brutally attacking a Florida electrical worker who was in New York helping restore power to victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Thomas Libretto, 34, was charged with assaulting John Applewhite, from Lakeland, Fla., outside a Texas Roadhouse in East Meadow on Friday. Libretto says the fight started because Applewhite was urinating outside, Nassau County police told the Daily News.
