A 44-year-old woman, whose body was found in a heavily wooded area in a Pennsylvania state park, was ruled to have committed suicide by inhaling helium gas, police said.

Teresa Mastracola from Millbourne, Pennsylvania was found deep in Ridley Creek State Park, after she went missing a little less than a week ago. Her body was found on Saturday.

Police do not suspect that foul play was involved in her death, but it is still unclear how exactly she committed suicide.

Police were initially reluctant to rule Mastracola's disappearance as suspicious since the woman, a master sergeant in the Pennsylvania National Guard, was an avid hiker who often spent days out at a time.
She also frequently visited the park. Police have yet to find her car.
