Visalia Best Buy Employees Accused in $20,000 Embezzlement Case

Two Best Buy employees are behind bars, accused of stealing $20,000 worth of merchandise.

Jose Paz and Mayank Patel were arrested in Visalia Saturday night.

Police believe they had been stealing electronics for 3 weeks... Things like a big screen tv, computers and camera equipment.

Investigators say Best Buy caught on to them and reported it.

Police say the suspects confessed and told officers where the merchandise was.

Jim Carr, Visalia Police: "I know that the merchandise was located in another city outside of Visalia and our property detectives went to that city and recovered the merchandise."

Police found the stolen goods at 4 different locations in Corcoran.

Paz and Patel could be facing several felony charges, including burglary, grand theft, embezzlement and possesion of stolen property.
