A 10-year-old boy was shot and killed by a pellet gun Friday afternoon.

The child, who's name is not being released, was playing with a friend in tollhouse, near the intersection of Quail Mountain and Hidden Hollow lanes

Around 4 p.m. one boy accidentally shot the 10-year-old in the chest.

The child was treated at the scene until an air ambulance arrived. The boy was flown to CRMC where he died a short time later.

A spokesman for the Fresno County Sheriff's Office said it's a tragic accident, not a crime. No charges will be pressed against the other juvenile.
