A bird brouhaha in Nantasket Beach, Massachusetts.
Town officials say a woman's bird feeder is a public health hazard and want it removed.
"What is the problem? It's not against the law, it's not against the Commonwealth's law," argues bird enthusiast Gail Kansky.
Kansky has summered in Nantasket Beach for 38 years and clearly has an affinity for birds.
"I can't walk the beach anymore, I'm limited in a lot I can do, but at least this is something I can do - just feed the birds," she says.
She has a single feeder now, but in years past, fed them freely off her porch.
Kansky's neighbors have had enough, and now the town itself takes issue with the pigeons and sparrows, and the subsequent droppings.
Neighbors testified they feel "terrorized" by the birds in a Tuesday hearing.
As for Mrs. Kansky, she believes this is more about town politics and less about her pigeons.
"Birds live here. They have for millions of years. I don't think they're coming from Cohasset or Hingham or anywhere else. These are just the birds that live in this town," she argues.
