Clovis police are asking for help to find the man responsible for stealing hundreds of dollars worth of fireworks.
The fireworks were stolen yesterday in the Walmart parking lot in Clovis. A witness says a man pulled up in his vehicle. When he got out, he stole a box just outside the booth with about $500 dollars worth of fireworks.
Julie Tavares says she wasn't able to stop the man from taking the fireworks. "In the meantime, I get up and get in front of the car and I'm saying 'what are you doing?' I was able to look down and get the license plate and and they're leaving, they kind of push the car, and just grazed my knee."
