(Press Release) Sheriff John Anderson announced Friday afternoon that 34-year-old Anthony Garcia, wanted in connection to a residential burglary in the Madera Ranchos, has turned himself in.
The second suspect, an unidentified female, remains on the loose.
A television viewer called the Sheriff’s Office Thursday night after seeing a news report about the burglary.
Detectives started their search as soon as the call came in. But the wanted man went into hiding as soon as he realized he was profiled in numerous news reports broadcast on radio and TV.
Garcia and the unidentified female were both captured on surveillance tape using stolen credit/debit cards from a residential burglary in the Madera Ranchos.
Anyone with information about the second suspect is urged to call the Madera County Sheriff’s Office at 559-675-7770; or callers can phone in anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP. Information leading to her identity and arrest could be worth up to a thousand dollars.
