A pair of carjacking suspects have been arrested after a high speed chase that ended at Dakota and Maple.

The carjacking was reported just before 9pm at Echo and Dennett.

Police say one of the suspects approached a man, pointed his weapon at him and demanded his car keys.

But the man didn't have them, and told the suspect he had to go inside his home to get the keys.

The suspect didn't want to wait...

Lt. Phil Cooley, Fresno Police Dept.: "Shortly after, a female victim in the same 100 block of north echo was approached by the same suspect while getting out of her car and he pointed the gun at the female victim and got her car and took it."

Police later located the car, and that's when the chase began.

The suspects crashed at an industrial area, where police took the man and woman inside the car into custody.
