A string of burglaries in Madera County could be coming to an end. Sheriff's deputies say one suspect is under arrest, and another should be coming soon.

Bobbi Jo Heiss was picked up last week. Investigators expressed confidence that they'll have her male accomplice behind bars soon.

Police say both people are supporting a drug addictions by robbing neighbors; including some that they practically share a backyard with.

Both suspects have roots in Madera. Heiss became known as a hero and inspiration for escaping from a kidnapper.

The first officer to come to her aid in 1999 was the same man that arrested her last week. According to Sheriff's Department officials, they always want to see guilty people go to jail, but others are just sad about losing two familiar faces.
