Two would-be robbers were left empty handed when their target fought back.
The owner of O'Malley's Irish Pub in St. Louis, Missouri fought off the pair of gunmen with a broom.
Police said the owner of the business, Tommy Gage, was closing up for the night and sweeping the sidewalk when two men walked up to him and pointed a gun at him.
Gage proceeded to hit one robber with a broom.
The pair fled, but fired several shots back toward the pub.
A friend of the owner was sweeping on the other side of the building and was shot at as well.
Gage tried to keep the men out of the bar because his wife was inside.
Nobody was struck by the gunfire.
Police are still looking for the robbers.
