Dramatic dashcam video shows a Lubbock, Texas police officer saving a woman from serious injury or death.
Early Monday morning Lubbock police responded to a fender bender.
Officer Philip Standefer was standing on the concrete median talking to a woman when a van smashed into his squad car.
Police say Peter Kelt, 23, was driving drunk and too fast.
The video shows Officer Standefer pushing the woman out of way as the squad car comes flying toward them.
Officer Standefer suffered serious injuries, but has since been released from the hospital.
The woman got away with only a few scrapes and bruises.
