Florida police are investigating a smash and grab burglary at a Hialeah electronics store.
The burglary happened at the H.H. Gregg on West 20th Avenue.
Footage showed the store's front entrance completely smashed, with a section of the door ripped off and part of the security gate mangled.
Hialeah Police spokesman Det. Eddie Rodriguez called it a "typical smash and grab," where the thieves use a car to bust through the front door or yank the door open.
"Once the gate's down, they make their way inside of the store. Several males start ransacking the stores and they end up fleeing with several items of value, usually electronics," Rodriguez said.
It's unknown what items were stolen from the store.
Officers were at the scene collecting evidence, and there was no word on any arrests or suspects sought.
Resident Lissette Ramirez says she's worried about her safety as it's the second time in a month that thieves break into a store in the shopping plaza.
"Whoever it is that's coming here, I don't know if it's the same person, they could park next to our car and just come and take our car or hurt us," Ramirez said. "Where's the security? Who are we gonna call?"
Rodriguez said police are interviewing one person who saw the car and called 9-1-1, and are gathering surveillance video from the store and other surrounding stores.
