Powder sulfur spilled across Highway 41 just south of Yosemite National Park on Sunday. Crews are still on the scene trying to clean up the highway. Following the spill, several small fires were sparked because of the highly flammable chemical.

A detour is available through Mariposa on Highway 140. Authorities hope to have the roadway reopened soon.
