(Press Release) McDonald Offices announced Friday that the relocation of the California Memorial Museum is now complete and the Museum is once again open to the public. In November, 2011, Pelco by Schneider Electric announced that the museum would be moved from its previous location on the company's Clovis campus and that the collection had been turned over to David McDonald, former CEO. McDonald stated, "I am very pleased to see this unique collection once again on display in Clovis. Pelco's response to the 9/11 tragedy will forever be a defining time for this whole area."

The California Memorial Museum collection is now on display in the lobby of the Veterans Memorial Building, located on the southeast corner of Fourth and Hughes streets in Old Town Clovis. The
building's lobby is open to the public from 8:00 a.m.M until 5:00 p.m., every day. Clovis Veterans Memorial District Board Chairman, Tom Wright expressed, "We are absolutely delighted to have our facility be the new home for the Museum. This collection and the inspiring story behind it are vital parts of our regional history. These priceless heirlooms are in good hands with us. With our weekend hours of operations, far more people can now enjoy this experience than before."

The California Memorial was built by Pelco in 2001 immediately following the 9/11 tragedy as a permanent remembrance for all of the victims. The December, 2001, dedication ceremony included 1,150 New York area police officers and firefighters as guests of the company. In appreciation many of them donated, over a period of years, a variety of unique 9/11 items to Pelco. Eventually these gifts numbered in the thousands; and they now constitute most of the collectibles on display in the California Memorial Museum. The California Memorial monument remains open to the public at all times on the Pelco by Schneider Electric campus in Clovis.
