Clovis Police yesterday arrested Kenneth Cavin for possession of child pornography. Detectives apprehended the 57-year-old attorney at Fowler and Tollhouse, not far from his house.
During their investigation, Clovis Police detectives seized a lot of evidence from his home when they previously served a search warrant there.
Clovis detectives in the High Tech Computer Crime Unit then searched the seized items pursuant to a search warrant. What they found was terribly disturbing: multiple child sexual abuse images with young children. One of the victims was identified by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
Most of the photos were downloaded from the Internet. In addition, detectives found child sexual abuse videos, stories of children being molested, lewd child modeling and cartoon images of obscenity.
Upon the conclusion of the investigation, Clovis Police detectives forwarded the case to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Homeland Security was also involved in the investigation. The Fresno County District Attorney’s Office issued the warrant for yesterday’s arrest.
