2 Students Injured in Clovis North Lab Fire

Thousands of students at Clovis North Education Center were evacuated Friday afternoon after a fire broke out in one of the school's chemistry labs.

Officials said an experiment caused a flash fire to spark around 1:00 p.m.

A teacher was able to put it out with a fire blanket and extinguisher.

One student was taken to the hospital with 1st degree burns, another was treated on campus by paramedics.
