Clovis Police Narcotics detectives arrested 30-year-old Hector Garcia at his apartment in the 500 block of South Argyle in Fresno.

Investigators developed information that a sizeable number of heroin addicts in Clovis had been buying from Garcia, and purchasing the drug in far larger quantities than they were used to buying.

Tuesday morning, Narcotics officers served a warrant at Garcia’s apartment. They confiscated four and a half ounces of heroin packaged for sale, marijuana, two firearms (one with a round in the chamber) and $2,400 in cash from previous sales. Street value of the heroin is estimated to be between $6,000 and $7,000.

Detectives arrested Garcia for possession for sale of heroin, possession for sale of marijuana, and for being armed in the commission of a felony.

Narcotics officers believe they may have saved some lives by stopping the sales, which in the quantity Garcia offered could very well have caused overdoses and/or death.
