(Press Release) Investigators with the Clovis Police Department have arrested the cohabitating boyfriend of the victim in Tuesday morning’s shooting near Barstow and Peach Avenues after determining the incident to be domestic violence related.

Just before 2:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, the Clovis Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from 19-year-old Jenn Pham reporting that she had been shot. Officers arrived and found Pham suffering from a gunshot wound to the right side of her head. Her 21-year-old boyfriend, Jermaine Dupree-Means, was also in the apartment with a deep cut to this right arm. Both were transported to CRMC for treatment.

Investigators, through examining the crime scene and conducting interviews, have determined that Pham and Dupree-Means were involved in an argument inside the apartment. Dupree-Means forced his way into a bedroom where Pham was hiding and shot her once in the head with a large caliber handgun. He went outside to hide the weapon, during which time Pham made her way to a phone and called for help. Police believe the injury to Dupree-Means’ arm was intentionally or accidentally self inflicted.

Dupree-Means was arrested for attempted murder and domestic battery, and will be booked into the Fresno County Jail.
