A Clovis man is behind bars after he shoots his live in girlfriend in the head.
The shooting happened at an apartment complex just off Barstow and Villa Avenues. Police say just before 2:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, 19-year-old Jenn Pham called police and told them she had been shot.
When officers arrived, they found Pham had been shot on the right side of her head. After an investigation, police found Pham was arguing with her boyfriend, 21-year-old Jermaine Dupri-Means, when he shot her in the head with a large caliber handgun.
Police say Dupri-Means then tried to bury the weapon outside. That’s when Pham called 9-1-1. Police say Dupri-Means had a deep cut to his right arm, they believe it was self-inflicted.
Pham and Dupri-Means were taken to CRMC. Pham is expected to survive her injuries.
Dupri-Means was arrested for attempted murder and domestic battery. He will be booked into the Fresno County Jail.
