The driver who struck and killed a 7-year-old boy in north Fresno was over the legal alcohol limit.

Police say Central High basketball coach Loren LeBeau had a blood alcohol level of 0.11.

That's above the legal limit of 0.08. LeBeau was coming back from Bass Lake when his car slammed into the Maldonado family as they were using a crosswalk on Shephard Avenue.

Donovan Maldonado was killed. His 18-month-old sister is still in critical condition. The father is in fair condition.

LeBeau posted bond. He faces felony drunk driving and manslaughter charges.
