Cops Responding to Shooting Call Instead Find Woman in Bloodied Halloween Costume

Birmingham police on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, arrested a costumed woman on a DUI charge after responding to a report that she was shot. A passerby called 911 after seeing the woman unresponsive at a traffic light and thinking she had been shot.

A female driver who Alabama cops thought had been shot to death was actually a drunk Halloween party-goer who passed in her SUV while wearing a gore-spattered pregnant zombie costume.

Birmingham police found the woman slumped over the wheel at a stoplight at around 8:15 a.m. after other motorists reported a possible homicide, The Birmingham News reported.

“You can see why someone thought she had been shot,'' an officer told the newspaper.
